A Peaceable Kingdom

Randall Thompson's groundbreaking a cappella work A Peaceable Kingdom is the cornerstone of this program, commemorating 50 years since the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Performed in the reverberant St. Boniface Church, music celebrating our American heritage will be featured, including selections by notable composers Alice Parker and Moses Hogan. Minnesota composer Stephen Paulus' A Dream of Time completes our season, incorporating the theme of Bach's Dona Nobis Pacem from the great Mass in B Minor

Peace on Earth... and Lots of Little Crickets (LCC)

The sounds of animals large and small are the inspiration for the music of this performance. The Children’s Choir will bring the glorious harmonies of the animal kingdom to life, from fireflies and hedgehogs to an orchestra of crickets. It will be an afternoon sure to enchant listeners of all ages.

One of our key missions is to make it as easy as possible for you to join us to create these experiences! For our fifty-first season, we are excited to announce that children under the age of 18 who are accompanied by parents can attend our concerts for free.
